Blessings to all, and welcome ohm once again. This edition of our Good News letter is dedicated to the life and wisdom of Bob Marley.
We were very honoured to participate in last week's official Bob Marley Day Celebration on Friday February 03, 2006 at City Hall in Toronto, Canada. Our very own Odel, accompanied by Tony "Rebeltone"Barrett on guitar, opened the ceremony with "Redemption Song" to honour the life and messages of Bob Marley, and awards were handed out to numerous individuals who have taken the mantra "Do I Live What I Believe?" into their own hands and contributed to making the City of Toronto a better place for all of our communities.
Highlights of the day included Toronto's Mayor David Miller reciting Bob Marley's message "Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery, none but ourselves can free our minds", reminding the audience that this message is now more potent and relevant than ever before. Congratulations to Mayor David Miller for showing courage and getting down with Bob Marley in front of the city's news cameras.
You can also catch Odel at the Opera House in Toronto on Sunday Feb. 26 2006 with the Abyssinians. The address is 735 Queen St. East, and other performers for the night include Iqulah, Mutabaruka and Toronto's own Humble.

Now onto some 13 Moon updates. Last moonth we learned about the magic of the number 13, as in 13 Moons per year @ 28 days each and also the 13 Day Wave Spell. Based on the dreamspell system used in the 13 Moon calendar, every day receives both a 13-Moon energy and a Galactic Signature energy. The 13-Moon energy refers to when the day occurs in relation to the 365-day year cycle, and the galactic signature energy refers to when the day occurs in relation to the 260-day Galactic Spin Cycle. While the yearly cycle anchors our physical Earth journey around the Sun using 13 perfect months of 28 days each, the Galactic Spin cycle informs our spiritual journey of evolution as a self-reflective referencing system of universal order. 13 x 20 = 260 So let's take a closer look at Galactic Signatures this month. Why not use Bob Marley as an example since we can't seem to get enough of Bob this month? Bob was born on February 06, 1945, so this would make the energy of that specific day a: White Self-Existing Wizard
I Define in order to Enchant Bob Marley was definitely guided by the power of heart, so it all seems to fit. Let us be receptive to the omnipresent sacredness of existence, complete with its blessings and its challenges. Timelessness is an energetic dimension which has been masked by a linear notion of time. Together, we are remebering that Time is the Universal Factor of Synchronization! The present moment is always a living oracle! May the Wizards arise and break the spell of artificial time! Sure sounds like the Bob Marley we all love so much. This moonth's Native Totem Animal is The Hawk ! Hawks are predatory birds with remarkably sharp claws (talons) and whose size greatly varies within the 250 species. Female hawks are usually larger than the males. These raptors hunt during the day employing the use of their fierce talons to tear apart their prey. Most hawks live in prairies, marshlands, forests, or open savannas. In these habitats they use their acute vision to hunt their food and raise their offspring. Hawks are fearless birds who will even face off with poisonous snakes if necessary.

GALACTIC MOON OF INTEGRITY
Born Robert Nesta Marley in St. Ann's Parish, Jamaica, perhaps Bob Marley more than any other musical performer today has fully embodied this moon's mantra: "Do I Live What I Believe?" Very outspoken about political and economical situations in his home lands Jamaica and Africa, Bob Marley was part of the Jamaican group The Wailers, along with Reggae greats Bunny Livingston and Peter Tosh.

Before we close here is some Good News from the herbal kingdom: Scientists now say that Cannabis, one of Bob Marley's favourite earth offerings and medicine, could boost brain power.
Hawk's piercing shriek tears through the air. In its shrill cry lies an important message which represents illumination. Hawk teaches us to scope out the situation and focus on our talents, trying to draw them out. Hawk learns to see the big picture in order to understand the past, present, and future. Hawk asks us to be observant of surroundings so we won't get distracted from our path by others. It also reminds us not to get caught up in minor annoyances so we can maintain our inner balance.
